SAFARI SUMMARY

Spend 05 nights / 06 days in Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara National Reserve

The safari begins at Amboseli National Park located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. The snow capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro rising above a saucer of clouds dominates every aspect of the park. Then provceed to Lake Naivasha, the highest of rift valley lakes and a bird watcher’s fantasy.
The climax is the Most famous Reserve in Kenya, The Masai Mara National Reserve. You are almost guaranteed to see all the big five. Lions abound throughout the Park as do leopards, cheetah and hyenas. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is on in the Masai Mara , the Sensation is unparalled. From the end of June, drawn by the long rains of April and May, it is estimated that more than half a million wildebeests enter the Masai Mara National Reseve. These are in addition joined by another 100,000 from Loita Hills east of the Mara.

FULL ITINERARY

Day 1- Amboseli National Park
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed by a Destination Connect representative and depart southwards to Amboseli National Park famous for its spectacular view of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Arrive at Amboseli Serena safari Lodge in time for lunch and at 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2- Amboseli National Park
Full Day in Amboseli with game drives at 0630 hrs and 1600 hrs. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya's most popular national parks.  It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena safari Lodge

Day 3 - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with picnic lunch boxes. Drive past Nairobi and towards the Rift Valley to arrive at Lake Naivasha in mid afternoon. At 1600hrs, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge

Day 4 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart Naivasha after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous game reserve, the Masai Mara arriving at Keekorok Lodge in time for lunch. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5-  Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and  1600hrs respectively. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge / Similar.

Day 6 - Depart
Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. Lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa’s Greatest Eating Experience, having twice been voted amongst the worlds 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your flight back home.
