UGANDA JUNGLE AND SAVANNAH TOUR (14 nights, 15 days)

Day 1
King Fisher in UgandaArrive at Entebbe International Airport. Met by a Destination Connect Representative. Transfer to Kampala and check in at Emin Pasha Hotel for overnight.

Day 2
After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Jinja to visit the Source of the River Nile and Bujagali Falls Lunch at the Jinja Nile Resort. On your return, you will pass by the Uganda Martyrs Shrine at Namugongo. Overnight at the Emin Pasha Hotel (B/L)


Day 3
Leave Kampala after breakfast and proceed west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the South Western part of Uganda via Mbarara and Kabale. The drive is a long one, taking the whole day (10 hour drive). Stop for lunch at the Regency Lake View Hotel, Mbarara. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead camp. (B/L/D)

Day 4
After an early breakfast, start gorilla tracking at 08:00hrs in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We recommend you to wear good walking shoes and carry a rain jacket and a bottle of water. Tracking can be tough and we trust you are in reasonably fit condition. You will carry a picnic lunch into the forest with you. You will be thrilled to have seen these rare primates (no guarantee) and the return journey will be easier. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Homestead camp. (B/L/D).

Day 5
Early breakfast at the camp before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes approx. 5-6 hours. Packed lunch from Buhoma en route. Game drive on the way to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (B/L/D).

Day 6
After breakfast, a morning game drive then relax. Lunch at Mweya Lodge. In the afternoon at 17:00, a launch (boat) trip on the Kazinga Channel to see a variety of wildlife, hundreds of hippos, crocodile and birds from the launch for two hours. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge (B/L/D).
Day 7 After breakfast at 7:00 a.m. there is the possibility to do the Kyambura Gorge nature walk in the forest with a visit to the near by Bat Cave and snake pit in Maramagambo Forest. Move with packed lunch. Then have a game drive.

Day 8
Early wake up call at 06:00hrs and after a quick cup of coffee/tea, early morning game drive at 06:30hrs. Return to the lodge for breakfast and morning relaxation. Lunch at Mweya Lodge and at 14:00, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park for Fort Portal (4 hours drive). Check-in at Ndali Lodge in the late afternoon. Ndali Lodge is situated on a 1,000-acre private estate overlooking a beautiful crater lake on one side, and the Rwenzori Mountains on the other. The rest of the early evening can be spent at leisure or visiting one of the nearby villages to get a feel of the village life. Or one can enjoy a canoe ride on one of the crater lakes. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge (B/L/D).


Day 9
Uganda Gorills and Chimpanzee trekkingEarly breakfast then proceed to the Kibale Forest National Park (approx. 1 hour drive). Nature walk in the forest for about 3 hours, to track the chimpanzees and view a variety of monkeys, birds and flora (optional). Picnic lunch to be enjoyed somewhere in the forest. In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Swamp where one also has an opportunity to view more birds, etc. Return to Ndali Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge. (B/L/D).


Day 10
Wake up early, have breakfast and then proceed to Semliki National Park. You visit the Hot Springs at Sempaya. You may have a chance to see the Pygmies at Ntoroko. Move with packed lunch. From there you proceed too Semiliki WildlifeReserve, and check into the lodge, then have an evening game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Semiliki Safari Lodge (B,L,D)


Day 11
After an early breakfast begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park at 08:00hrs. The drive takes 8-10 hours. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route before Masindi. The drive will be through Budongo Forest along Lake Albert, and arrival at the Lodge will be in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (B/L/D).

Day 12
Breakfast at leisure and then have a game drive. After lunch, a bird walk around the vicinity of the Lodge and perhaps a dip in the pool. Dinner and overnight at the Paraa Safari Lodge. (B/L/D).

Day 13
After breakfast, take the launch trip to see the bottom of the falls. It is possible to view hundreds of hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge at approx. midday. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon at leisure near the swimming pool. At 15:30 hrs a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Paraa Safari Lodge. (B/L/D).


Day 14
After breakfast, drive to the top of the falls. Short walk around the top of the falls from where you can walk down to the river’s edge and see the waters narrow as they are forced through a rocky cleft and plunge down 35 metres in a majestic cascade. The fall itself is one of Africa’s wonders – the whole of the Victoria Nile bursting majestically through a six-metre gap to an awesome 35 metre drop. Packed lunch en route. Proceed for the return journey to Kampala with a stop over at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.The drive takes approx 6-7 hours. Continue for 45kms to Entebbe. Overnight at the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel, Entebbe. (B/L/D).


Day 15
Day of Departure.
If departure is in the evening, there is a possibility of touring the Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre, The Ngamba Island Sanctuary. and the beautiful Botanical Gardens, all in a walking distance from the hotel. (approx. 15 minutes walk). The Windsor Lake Victoria offers free airport transfers for all hotel guests. (B).
